Steve Jobs Delivers MacWorld Keynote

If Steve Jobs sneezes, dozens of bloggers might just write about it. But when he gives his annual MacWorld keynote address everyone takes note. While it does not look like this year’s keynote revealed any bombshells of the iPhone variety, it did shine light on some interesting gadgets and services.
While the MacBook Air, Apple’s new ultra-thin ultra-mobile notebook, stole the show, many also took note of Apple’s new movie rental service. That tool promises to have an immediate impact, as it is already available on iTunes. Users will be able to rent movies for $2.99 a pop. Netflix might have beat Apple to the punch though. The popular by-mail rental service announced an “unlimited” $8.99 monthly rental service earlier in the day.
Jobs also claimed that his company is making strides on the environmental front, by using less toxic material and packaging materials. If you just can’t get enough Apple, check out the mountain of coverage over at [TechMeme](http://techmeme.com).
