Elizabeth - I like how you expanded the concept to include their relationship in the context of the product or service.
As I was spending time doing a volunteer job much of last week, and listening to the people who run the program telling us how we were representing the program and therefore should be positive about it, no matter what,it dawned on me that the same is true for employees. Don't focus on how employees feel and talk about your company. Focus instead on how they feel about themselves by being associated with your company. If you do that, you will unleash the passion that makes for great organizations. If you don't, you'll end up with a bunch of salarymen & women.
