Breaking free from the Echo chamber, being mindful of what you say on Twitter, and the prevalence of podcasts are the topics this week on Media Bullseye’s Radio Roundtable. Jen Zingsheim was joined this week by Chip Griffin, founder and CEO of CustomScoop, along with special guest Todd Van Hoosear of SocialSphere Strategies.
Up for discussion on this week’s Roundtable: live-Tweeting the Canadian Institute Conference on Social Media, the Top 10 PR blunders of the year, and the continuing dismal news in the media industry–both online and offline media are being affected by declining ad revenue.
Our special guest this week is Scott Monty, who heads up social media at Ford. Scott joins Chip Griffin and Jen Zingsheim, (who makes her hosting debut) to discuss the demise of print, social media experimentation in a downturn, and Internet censorship.
A few blog posts have come about lately on the issue of whether podcasts need to be edited, or if they can go out “raw” or “naked.” Doug Haslam examines the topic, making the case to edit your show before sending it out onto the Web.
We were delighted to welcome Debbie Weil, author of the Corporate Blogging Book, to the Roundtable this week. She joins us to discuss corporate blogging issues, creative marketing, and the latest addition to the BlogHer community.
Welcome to CustomScoop’s PR Pod Jots, our weekly roundup of the best of the PR and marketing podosphere. After a vacation last Friday, we are back and ready to go with a fresh batch of all your latest podcasts. First up this week is CC Chapman’s Managing the Gray, as CC becomes the latest blogger to fall under the spell of Comcast’s latest customer service development–responding to complaints via Twitter.
Welcome to another edition of CustomScoop’s PR Pod Jots, our weekly rundown of the best of the PR and marketing podosphere. If you’re wondering why our title this week is a bit more salacious than usual, it’s that our favorite Dunkin Donuts dwellers dedicated a portion of their podcast this week to discussing sex and marketing. Find out what they and everyone else has to say this week, after the jump.
Donna Papacosta offers some insight into the question of when advertising on your podcast is right for you. Also: Are you Googling yourself? You should be! And a review of Brightkite, the latest social networking site.
Welcome to another edition of CustomScoop’s PR Pod Jots, our weekly rundown of all the best of the PR and marketing podosphere. It’s another rather light week for podcasts this week, perhaps many of our favorites are still out on school spring break! We begin this week with a lesson on giving back, via the Engaging Brand.
Perhaps because of the deadly cocktail of school vacation week and New Comm Forum taking place this week out in California, this is a rather light week on the podcast front. But the Jots will go on! For starters, we’d like to congratulate Mitch Joel for his 100th episode of “Six Pixels of Separation.”
