MySpace has launched a new political news portal, dubbed [Decision ’08](http://www.myspace.com/decision08), which features content from NBC and MSNBC. The site includes regularly updated video and news feeds and will showcase the television networks’ biggest stars.
But what has surprised many observers is that MySpace did not choose to work with FoxNews, as both are owned by News Corp. The social network also bypassed News Corp owned newspapers, including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. MySpace sites “synergy” for its decision to work with NBC, while some bloggers, including [Paul Glazowski](http://mashable.com/2008/04/22/myspace-decision-08/), believe that the decision was likely based on a desire to diversify the company’s brand.
