After a year of speculation, Digg finally seems ready to
launch its “Recommendation Engine.” The service will allow users to see
organized content that has been recommended by others with similar interests.
Digg has developed algorithms designed to link content from like-minded users
automatically. The new feature is expected to replace the dynamic content
currently in Digg’s “Upcoming” section.
Michael Arrington, who sees tremendous potential in the
Recommendation Engine, suggests that it will likely be launched later this week.
Arrington has posted a white paper and video content about Digg’s newest project
over at TechCrunch.
