After a string of delays, the popular social bookmarking site Delicious has launched version 2.0. This represents the first significant upgrade since Yahoo purchased the site more than two years ago. While there appears to be little in the way of major structural changes, the redesign is focused on improving ease of use and the speed of the service.
Delicious now allows users to take advantage of more social features, including the ability search their friend’s bookmarks. Yahoo is also touting a new infrastructure that is expected to dramatically improve page load times and search speeds. No doubt paying a king’s ransom, the site has dropped the dots from its old URL; visit Delicious.com to see what the buzz is about.
